Dr John Cheng (Family Physician and Head of Primary Care, Healthway Medical Group) shared that the number of people receiving flu vaccines at Healthway’s clinics has increased by 40% year-on-year between August and September this year. He added that having a co-infection of Covid-19 and influenza would make it more difficult for the immune system to combat the viruses, and could lead to more serious health risks and complications, like lung damage and even death.
